The primary purpose of the sports hall known as “Salle Gaston Médecin” is ball games.
It is home to the basketball team that plays in the National Basketball League, at Pro A level and in the Euroleague.
However, it has also hosted many other competitions, such as international judo, fencing, archery, boxing, and kickboxing tournaments, as well as gymnastics and dance galas, etc.
The number of seats available in the arena varies depending on the configuration of the event. Following work carried out during the summer of 2022, there are now 4,560 seats in the basketball configuration.
The Gaston Médecin arena also has a press center and adjoining rooms.
