Bringing Music to Life
The Duo
The two musicians have been friends since childhood. Having sat side by side at secondary school and then at sixth form college, they were introduced to music at the Paris Regional Conservatoire. They have developed a shared passion for their art and its full scope: intensive practice and a quest for excellence; a commitment to reviving forgotten repertoire (particularly that of female composers, of whom they are both fervent interpreters); championing contemporary composition; exploring the intersection of diverse aesthetics and disciplines; and, finally, sharing their art with everyone: music lovers, students and pupils, and new audiences.
Following their training at the two CNSMDs (Juliette in Paris and Katherine in Lyon), they formed their duo in 2017.
Their duo is regularly invited to perform in Geneva (the Frédéric Chopin Festival), in Paris (Nocturnes de Laude), and elsewhere in France (Turbulences Sonores in Montpellier). They were invited to perform at the opening concert of Stephen Paulello’s concert hall in Villethierry (Yonne). They also served as patrons of the first classical music festival in Cameroon: ‘Classique à Yaoundé’, giving concerts and masterclasses.
