Jonathan Tetelman - Recital
Born in Chile in 1988, Jonathan Tetelman was adopted in the United States as an infant and grew up in New Jersey. He began his classical vocal training as a baritone at the Manhattan School of Music, before moving into the tenor register at the Mannes School of Music. This vocal and artistic evolution places him in an impressive lineage of legendary predecessors such as Ramón Vinay, Carlo Bergonzi, James King and Plácido Domingo, with whom he also shares a captivating temperament and charismatic presence.
All the signs point to a long and brilliant career as a spinto tenor. Indeed, in barely a decade since his debut in Puccini's La bohème at the Tanglewood Festival in 2018, followed by his first European appearances in the same role, Jonathan Tetelman has established himself as the tenor of choice for portraying passionate young lovers in the works of Puccini, Verdi and the verismo composers.
