October arrives in Monaco with the first colours of autumn… but certainly not with a quieter calendar!
After a particularly lively start to the season, the Principality continues to offer a rich and varied programme, with plenty of cultural, musical, sporting and family events throughout the month.
From the very beginning of the month, the European Heritage Days will offer a chance to discover Monaco from a different perspective, with tours, encounters and access to places that are not usually open to the public. On the cultural front, October will also put music in the spotlight with several events celebrating the centenary of Miles Davis’ birth, as well as numerous concerts and performances.
Art enthusiasts will be able to discover the new exhibition “Mémoire des lieux”, dedicated to the heritage and memories that shape the Monegasque territory, while the more curious can enjoy tours, workshops and encounters at various venues across the Principality.
October will also be an important month for professional events. Les Assises de la cybersécurité will bring together cybersecurity experts at the Grimaldi Forum, before Monaco becomes, just a few days later, an international meeting place for the sports business industry with SPORTEL Monaco and its SPORTEL Awards.
And then there are the events that truly herald the arrival of autumn! From October 16, the traditional Monaco Funfair will take over Port Hercule for several weeks, with its rides, games and food stalls. A fun outing sure to delight both young and old.
The end of the month promises some great evenings too: Disney in Concert at the Grimaldi Forum, symphonic concerts by the Monte-Carlo Philharmonic Orchestra, and the return of Jean-Christophe Maillot’s ballet Romeo and Juliet to the Opéra de Monte-Carlo, celebrating its 30th anniversary this year. And for Halloween, young music lovers can even discover the music of Harry Potter with the whole family.
In short, even as the days grow shorter, Monaco has no shortage of ideas for going out, discovering, listening, learning or simply enjoying a great time together.
