No summer break for culture, sport and music, which will once again take centre stage throughout the month of August in the Principality.
From exhibitions and concerts to major sporting events and the traditional fireworks lighting up Port Hercule, Monaco promises another exceptional summer programme.
The "The Wedding of the Century" exhibition, presented at the Prince's Palace, takes visitors back to the historic week of the wedding of Prince Rainier III and Grace Kelly through photographs, films, audio recordings, jewellery, dresses, gifts and previously unseen archives. To extend the experience, the "A Wedding in the Spotlight: Rainier III and Grace Kelly – 12–19 April 1956" walking trail invites you to rediscover, throughout the streets of Monaco, the iconic locations that witnessed this world-famous event.
The Grimaldi Forum Monaco presents "Monaco and the Automobile: From 1893 to the Present Day", a major exhibition celebrating more than 130 years of automotive history in the Principality. Hosted in the Espace Ravel, it features more than 50 iconic vehicles and rare archives, including many winning cars from the Monaco Grand Prix and the Rallye Monte-Carlo.
Created at the initiative of Prince Rainier III and Princess Grace, the Concerts in the Cour d'Honneur of the Prince's Palace are the prestigious highlight of the Monte-Carlo Philharmonic Orchestra's summer season. For more than sixty years, H.S.H. the Sovereign Prince has invited the Monte-Carlo Philharmonic Orchestra, together with internationally renowned conductors and soloists, to perform each summer in this exceptional setting.
Sports enthusiasts will also be able to enjoy the Monaco Athletics Festival, a new international high jump event. The Principality will then write a new chapter in its history by hosting, for the very first time, the Grand Départ of La Vuelta a España, one of the world's three great cycling tours alongside the Tour de France and the Giro d'Italia. Monaco will come alive as the international peloton sets off in a spectacular event combining sporting excellence, prestige and excitement.
